Yes, I know if you’re stuck in the freeway traffic you probably don’t think you’re in a work of art! But I love the shapes of the Los Angeles freeways as they wind their way through the metropolis.

This piece was created from my original photograph, taken while hanging out of a helicopter with the doors off.

I’ve coloured the image with bright, bold colours to highlight the shape, and coloured the thousands of cars in a variety of colours.

The image is printed on brushed aluminium, which makes the colours appear even more vivid.
