This piece is created from a photograph of the Champs Elysees taken from from the top of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. I spent quite a few hours up there, mesmerized by the hypnotic colours of the hazy car lights in rush hour . Blurring them magnifies the rainbow of colours, making the image more abstract. And it emphasizes the seemingly never-ending avenue as it stretches into the distance.
The image is printed on a super-slim sheet of ultra-glossy aluminium and floated in an aluminium box.
