Electric Avenue (box-framed)

£600.00

43 x 41 x 5 cm, edition of 25, £600

I love the huge iconic sign towering over the historic Brixton Street, the first market street to be lit by electric lights in 1888. Even when it’s switched off the contrast of the silver letters against the sky make it the perfect subject for me. The street was the title of the famous Eddy Grant's single in 1983 and the legend himselfwas invited to switch on a new illuminated street sign in 2016.

My original photograph is digtally coloured and printed on brushed aluminium, which highlights the metallic nature of the sign, and the details of the building.

Electric Avenue is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around two weeks.
