I love the repeated patterns and lines of the Empire State building. This piece is created from an original photograph taken from the Highline walk. The view is a classic New York mix: a landmark, the cross on top of a church and a water tower! The image is printed on a small sheet of brushed aluminium, giving it an etched appearance which helps pick out the details of the buildings. Colouring the sky a vivid pink contrasts nicely with the matt metallic finish. It is floated in a hand-painted wood frame.
