From my Little Los Angeles collection: ‘celebrate the big city with a little piece of art.’
One of my favourite buildings in Los Angeles. It was a radical new design back in 1963, and based on R.Buckminster Fuller's famous futuristic architectural concepts.
This piece was created from an original photograph, digitally coloured by hand and printed on a super-slim sheet of brushed aluminium. The Cinerama’s beautiful shape lends itself perfectly to aluminium which brings out its stunning patterns and angles. I’ve always thought it looked like a giant golf ball. The image is floated in a hand-painted wood frame.
Little Los Angeles, Cinerama is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 2 -3 weeks.
