From my Little Los Angeles collection: ‘celebrate the big city with a little piece of art.’

My fascination with shapes and outlines influences most of my art. I'm especially keen on aerial views, this is the best way to see the patterns of a city. I hired a helicopter to fly over Los Angeles with the doors off to capture this bird's eye view of The Coliseum, the historic home of the Los Angeles Rams football team. I painstakingly coloured the photograph by hand digitally, including every one yard line! I love the contrast of the green pitch with the repeated lines of the stadium.

The image is printed on a small sheet of brushed aluminium, which gives the piece an etched effect, and floated in a hand-painted wood frame.
