From my Mini Miami collection: ‘celebrate the big city with a little piece of art.’

I have become obsessed with the lifeguard huts that decorate the beaches in Miami.

The towers started popping up after Hurrican Andrew in the 1990s and quickly became a symbol of Miami’s revival after the devastation. There are around 36 of the towers along the coastline of Miami Beach, each one with a different design, shape, and bright colour scheme. They symbolise the essence of the city - bold, loud and beautiful.

This piece is created from an original photograph, digitally coloured and printed on a small sheet of brushed aluminium, which brings out the vivid colours of the hut. The image is floated in a hand-painted wood frame.

Mini Miami, Lifeguard Hut (green & orange) is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 2-3 weeks.
