From my Petit Paris collection: ‘celebrate La Grande Ville with a little piece of art.’

‘Our Lady of Paris’ - one of the most iconic symbols of Paris and the French nation. The cathedral's construction began as far back as 1160! Napoleon was coronated here, it was immortalised in Victor Hugo’s famous novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and sadly suffered series damage in the fire in 2019.

I’ve always loved the cathedral. It’s dramatic design and incredible location perched on the an island on the river make it the perfect muse for me. And, as you can see bottom right, it is often the scene of wedding photographs.

This piece is created from an original photograph, digitally coloured, and printed on a small sheet of brushed aluminium. This picks out the cathedral’s intricate detail and gives the piece an etched appearance. The image is floated in a hand-painted wood frame.
