It is a real treat to see London from the air. The city is full of beautiful shapes and patterns when viewed from above. This piece was created from a photograph taken while flying over Greenwich in a helicopter with the doors off. I coloured the grass and river digitally by hand and printed the image on a thin sheet of brushed aluminium. The metallic surface gives the work an etched appearance, highlighting the lovely grid-like patterns and intricate details of the Old Royal Navy College. The grass and river is coloured to contrast with the silver in the rest of the image.
Greenwich From Above is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in 10-14 days. An aluminium subframe on the back makes it incredibly easy to hang.
