Thames Barrier

£950.00

60 x 74.4 cm, edition of 25, £950

There’s something so beautiful about the Thames Barrier, built in the 1980’s to prevent Greater London being flooded. I think it’s the shape and curves of the gates, and the patterns and colour of the steel. It’s a work of art.

This piece is created from my original photograph, taken from the river. Once the image is digitally coloured, and printed on a thin sheet of brushed aluminium. This really brings out the glimmering metal of the barrier. Colouring the sky with a vivid pink contrasts beautifully with the silvery grey of the steel.

An aluminium frame on the back makes it incredibly easy to hang.

Please note: ‘Thames Barrier’ is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around two weeks.
